What does it mean for you, your small group or your church to partner with International Mission Board workers in Western Europe? There are a variety of ways you can participate in what God is doing. Pray about the following options and see how God leads:
Prayer Advocates | One-Time Mission Trip/Project
Ongoing Partnership | Strategy Coordinator Church
Prayer Advocates
We really believe that prayer is the work. We need people and churches to commit to pray for our work and workers here in Western Europe. Though Europe is often thought of as a cool place to visit (and it is), it is also can be described as a post–Christian continent in need of a spiritual awakening. Many people today have never heard the Gospel message explained to them in a relevant way.
You can visit the Prayer section of this site for weekly prayer requests from the field. Please share them with your family, friends or group at your church. We invite you to make prayer for the people of Western Europe a regular part of your meetings with other believers or your personal prayer life.
If you are interested in becoming a prayer advocate for a team or a people group in Western Europe, please contact Celeste in our regional office.
One–Time Mission Trip/Project
Your interest in Western Europe may start as a desire to come over on a short–term mission trip. You may look on the IMBs Web site for open requests to a particular place or people, or you may simply send us a note letting us know of your interest. We will be in contact with you as soon as possible to ask you some questions that will help you and us to determine some next steps in regards to a short–term trip.

Ongoing Partnership
This level of partnership is where your church or a network of churches works with specific IMB teams in Western Europe on a regular, ongoing basis.
- You will lead your church to pray for the team in Western Europe.
- You will work with the team on the field in fulfilling strategic requests for short–term teams coming over to serve.
- You will be an advocate in the States for your team and people group.
If you have an interest in becoming an ongoing partner for a team in Western Europe, please e–mail our regional partnership strategist.

Strategy Coordinator Church
A strategy coordinator is a missionary who seeks to do whatever it takes to make the Gospel available to every person in their people group. The workers methodology in doing this is developing leaders and catalytically planting multiplying churches.
Likewise, the Strategy Coordinator Church may be one fellowship or a group of churches who have the same philosophy and goals as would a strategy coordinator.
The Strategy Coordinator Church partnership opportunity is available because of the following reasons:
- There are many places in Western Europe where the IMB does not have workers.
- There are many people groups and people group segments in some of the cities among whom the IMB does not have workers.
- The common factor is that we are not engaging all of the people that we need to with the Gospel.
We need churches who will take the lead in developing and implementing a strategy for these places over a long period of time.
Each potential Strategy Coordinator Church will be connected with a worker in the region who will help give them support and service that they need.
In order to be a Strategy Coordinator Church in Western Europe, your church will need to make a vision trip to that area before either party proceeds officially. Because we greatly value relationships, we feel that we need to connect on a relational level before we work together in this capacity.
We will work with you in helping you lay out the steps for this partnership, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Researching the people group or segment
- Raising prayer support and advocacy
- Prayerwalking among the people
- Developing strategies to reach the people
- Being as creative as possible in finding ways to send out your people to work among this group
We hope this overview of our partnership opportunities in Western Europe has sparked some ideas and interest in how your church can be more involved in what God is doing here. For more information on these opportunities, please e–mail us.
